Since its inception in October 2002 MKM Consulting Engineering has been engaged with a diverse range of structural and civil engineering projects.

• Industrial Store and site development for Komcat Electro in Wundowie. Stormwater Management Plan for site, detailed structural and civil documentation for new 50x30m span store with full length cantilevered awnings.  Acquired planning approval through Shire Northam.
• Numerous residential and light commercial structural design and documentation jobs based within the cyclone affected north west of Western Australia.
• Ground anchors for recent commercial structures, Dampier Hub, St John Ambulance Station Karratha and the Super Clinic under construction in Karratha.
• Structural design and documentation for the Whim Creek Hotel refurbishment
• Cyclone tie down details for Container Inspection stands installed at Mermaid Marine in Dampier
• Report on trench shoring and reinstatement requirements for installation of the HV supply along parts of the Graham Farmer Freeway for the new Burswood Train Station – Report written for Cable Layers Australia
• Civil design and documentation for a light industrial block (1ha) in Forrestdale, Perth
• Newman Senior High School – New Metals Workshop – Civil design with detail documentation, structural specification and
• Dampier Boat and Sailing Club – Seawall design and documentation of a 22m long seawall at the Kaiser Marina for boats up to 50 tonne displacement
• Hamersley Iron – Gas Storage facility designed, detailed drawings and full written scope of work and specifications including Oxygen and Acetylene reticulation to the latest Project Value $1M
• Dampier Salt Ltd – Stainless steel cable bridge design and detail
• Dampier Slat Ltd – Design and detail drawings for the retrofitting of weightometers on conveyors CV5 and CV2
• Office/workshop in Bunbury for Bunbury Building Full structural design with detail drawings
• ECM – Design and documentation for road, drainage and underground services to the Dampier Halliburton site
• Cockatoo Island ship loading facility – provide engineering support for the facility from 2006-2012 while operated by Henry Walker Works included extensive insitu repair to shuttle, main luff boom and conveyor gantries. MKM provided structural documentation and on site overview of work.
• Hamersley Iron – Personnel Ship Access Gangway – Provide structural and mechanical engineering documentation for refitting an existing personnel gangway at the Parker Point Refueling

• Apache Ocean Legend – Provide structural support systems for refurbished air conditioning system
• Dampier Salt Ltd – Design documentation for the wharf barriers designed to provide personnel protection in case of ship rope failure
• King Bay Supply Base – Provide reports on port infrastructure including land backed wharf, tug berthing facility and small boat landing.
• Dampier Port underground services – provide engineering support through BCH consultants for the upgrade of roads and underground services within the Dampier Port area.
• John Holland Group – Provide engineering support to the engineering team on the Pluto site for the construction of 10 substations – project value $100M
• ECM – Provide civil engineering design support for new industrial development in the Dampier Port
• Oceanic Offshore – Provide civil design documentation for new industrial development in the Dampier Port
• Department of Housing and Works – Provided civil and structural design for new workshop development for the Pilbara Tafe
• Killarnee Formwork – New workshop facility structural design and documentation
• Cockatoo Island – HWE/Portman JV, assess ship loading facility and make recommendations for upgrading berthing facility for 65000 tonne vessels.
• Cockatoo Island – HE/Portman JV – assess all structures on the island and make recommendations for their repair
• Xstrata Zinc Mt Isa – Lead zinc concentrator upgrade.  Engineering design management for a $200m mineral grinding circuit upgrade.
• Xstrata Zinc Mt Isa – Provide engineering support for relocation of a conveyor.
• Straits Whim Creek Copper – project management and documentation for a new gymnasium, pool and amenities buildings.  Provide engineering support for the development of the new accommodation village.
• Project management for the Water Corporation – Construction of the Dalyellup 20 cu.m caustic facility
• Project management for the Water Corporation – Construction of new water supply including pump station to Harvey Dam recreation area.
• Project management for the Water Corporation – Upgrade Augusta water treatment plant with additional chlorination and a new caustic dosing facility.
• Kempe Industrial Services – design and documentation for a new scrubber system with maintenance access for Pilbara Iron.
• Kempe Industrial Services – provide engineered design of pylon service platform.  A floating aluminium structure supported on synchronized winches.
• Structural design of Water Corporation tank roofs in Port Hedland for FTE Engineering.
• John Holland – Construction support engineer for marine works at Utah Point, Port Hedland
• Documentation to BCA requirements for a two storey house extension in cyclone affected Dampier.
• Documentation to BCA requirements for a new two storey house in cyclone affected Point Samson.
• Barclay Mowlem – Temporary works engineer for the Dampier Port Upgrade
• Barclay Mowlem – Substation 3  and carports design and documentation
• Site Engineer for VOACZ – Construction of a Rock Loadout Facility and gangway
• Site Engineer for marine construction for the Burrup Water Supply Desalination Plant.
• Project manage recommissioning the potable water supply for the Burrup expansion
• Project manage tank access upgrade for the Water Corporations North West Region.
• Provide project management for irrigation of the Derby Wetlands
• Superintendents Representative on site for the expansion of the Port Hedland Wastewater Treatment Plant.
• Provide scope documentation and manage installation for the Port Hedland reuse pump station.
• Manage the demolition of the Imhoff Tanks throughout the Pilbara.
• Construct a Bulk Chlorine facility for the Broome water treatment plant
• Repair the Derby pump station concrete structure and refurbish the building.
• Provide engineering support for the re-commissioning of the Fitzroy Water Tank.
• Construction Camp water supply reinstatement.
• Superintendent’s Rep for the installation of 4km 200mm water main from Wickham to Point Samson.

• Design and documentation for a small boat harbour for ECM Savanah.
• Provide engineering support to Hamersley Iron for the commissioning of the new personnel gangway
